Although I am 31......

Those who have been following my blog for a while might remember I attempted to do a 30 things while 30 list well....was not completely successful, but made some strides. Since I am approaching my 32nd birthday in 6 weeks I decided to update my list :-)

1. Got my tattoo! See Pic!!! Thinking about #2
2. Got my passport AND going to Bahamas this year!!!!
3. Still no date.....honestly giving up hope, but trying hard not to (can't keep getting disappointed)
4. Done 30 random acts of kindness to strangers......still trying to find ways to do this :-)
5. Reading is been slow....up to about 20. But.....several books have been downloaded on the tablet
6. Still no real spontaneous road trip, one day!
7. No white water rafting yet
8. Have not applied to grad school yet.....long story
9. Written letters, sent email to all the people I needed to. 
10. Run a 5K, have a couple lined up for September and October
11. Walk Music City Half Marathon.....this has been modified for the Women's in September
12. Save X amount of money......on my way, doing better
13. Donate hair...completed a while back, hair is long enough but won't do it again
14. Lose at least 30 pounds....lost gained lost.....losing again!
15. Purchase a Home......up in air, need to decide where I am going to plant my feet
16. Become a research coordinator....Became a Clinical Trials Associate and I love it....still moving upward and excited!
17. Travel West of the Mississippi....Going to Cali next month!!!!
18. Purchase big ticket item for my mother....not yet
19. Clean out my wardrobe, DONE!
20. Visit graves of my father and sister.....still can't do it yet
21. Ask some tough questions of a family member....still a punk
22. Learn how to knit....stepped crocheting game up, but still don't know how to knit
23. Write the vision plan for next big project of my life....done and it is evolving
24. Go to a concert in a big venue......still don't like crowds of people don't think I can dot his
25. Have my first kiss.....complicated, so I will still answer no
26. Create a signature dish.....have a few more under my belt but not "that one"
27. Complete a financial plan...done!
28. Purchase a piece of artwork....not yet
29. Learn to speak my mind to others....getting better
30. Have Fun!!!! Of Course!

Frank Ocean's Channel Orange

Okay, I have been a fan of Frank Ocean for a little while, but after his recent actions and listening to his newest cd, LOVE HIM!!!
Some of his lyrics....if not all of his lyrics are amazing to me! If you have not PURCHASED this cd I really suggest it.  A cd has not hit my soul since Ledisi's Lost & Found came out.

There are several lyrics that touch me like no one will ever no.....especially Bad Religion. 

Check it out and I promise you will not be dissapointed! 

Sidenote.....work is killin me!! But only a few more days till a break and hopefully in a week I will have a very interesting post ;-)

My Time

My time is valuable....I work two jobs and attempt to have a social life outside of work. I am very anal about time and I like for people to be on time and when they say they are going to do something at a certain time.....DO IT!!!!

I am currently attracted to someone....and he does not get this concept. And I am really trying hard....I am wondering if I am being overly anal or if I should just let it go....we shall see ;-/

Tattoo.....again????

Well....recently I have been really wanting another tattoo!! YES the are addictive!!! I have plotted and I think I have come up with the next one. I am sticking with a heart them :-) For those who don't know I got my first tattoo this past year and I love it....see!!

You like? Well I love (finally got a pic after it has healed). Now on to my next design....

For this one I still want on my wrist, but I would have to start wearing watches again.....don't know. But I love it!!!! We shall see....



Life and what has been happening

Remember me???? I am still alive and I am hoping this is the last time I write that I am going to do better at blogging!

Work, illness, working out, and just life have consumed me.  But I have realized that I have to make time to blog, blogging helps me get out my frustrations, my thoughts, my angers, my feelings.... A lot of my social networks have become so intermingled and this blog as one of the few places where I can just express myself freely, no judgment just be.

Few updates in life:

1. Love my job! Working me like crazy, but I love it!!!!
2. Started new part time job, not working as much, still getting use to it so we shall see....
3. Weight is going DOWN!!! Still have a way to go but doing better :-)
4. I have a guy that I have my eyes on.....we shall see. This will be a first :-/
5. Got my passport!! (#2 on my 30 while 30 list that I FINALLY got accomplished)

The Movie Pariah

I went to see this movie last week and it was very eye opening. I love independent films and this one was a great one to see. I heard all the hype, but gave up on seeing it because I thought it would never come to Nashville, even though the writer is originally from the Nashville area.

To my surprise out indie movie theater here finally got it and I was so excited to see it. I actually went to see it twice (I do that a lot with movies, to catch what I missed the first time).  This movie was worth it. Why you may ask? It gave you a story of a young girl coming to terms with her sexual identity while dealing with the not being accepted by her mother. What I liked most about this film is that it did not focus on the sex aspect about her attraction to women, but her desire to be in a relationship with another girl.

She was a teenager going through a transition in her life and really had no one to talk to or confide in completely. I don't want to give any spoilers, but the movie had a few turns that I would have never gotten from the previews.

So if this movie is in your area please go see. No matter what you views are on homosexuality I think everyone can learn and take something from the movie.  I laughed, cried, and thought about several things while watching this movie.
